This complete kit is ideally suited for street or slightly modified chassis, and the drivability characteristics of the organic material disc are similar to the stock clutch. Increased pressure plate clamping loads provide the necessary capacity to handle the performance demands of modified engines and high performance driving. Although pedal loads will be slightly higher because of the increased clamping load, this kit is well suited for use on daily-driven cars.

All Exedy discs feature a sprung-hub center to reduce drive train shock and to ease clutch engagement. If you're considering replacing your RX-7 clutch to include the optional Transmission Seal Kit or as part of your replacement package. The metal puck clutch disc and heavy duty competition ready pressure plate can handle high horsepower and torque loads in racing situations. The clutch engagement is very abrupt so we do not recommend using it on a daily street driven car. The twin plate clutch developed for motor sport is designed for higher torque, while at the same time featuring a pedal feel that is close to stock levels.

The twin plate clutch boasts the substantial torque capacity and sensitive response called for in high-performance road racers. Note : the Exedy clutch and flywheel set comes complete with the appropriate counterweight and hardware. The RP Standard Clutch kit is better than a standard stock replacement clutch, but is not intended for racing use. For the serious drag racer, we now offer state-of-the-art axles which are an EXACT replacement for the stock axles.
